Hi! I just moved to Colorado a few months ago from out of state. I haven't been driving because I haven't had my car out here. Yesterday I bought a car from an owner and now can begin driving again. I have signed up for new insurance for myself through Allstate and will be changing my out of state lisence to a Colorado lisence at the DMV tomorrow. My question is: what happens after that?! Will the car need to pass through another emission test? Will I need to take the car in the DMV to register it in my name, or will this occur simply when I signed the back of the title? I also need to obtain new plates, is there a grace period for my to do this? Does anyone know how much they usually run cost wise? Thanks so much! Any information will help, I know nothing about cars!
