Just bought a Honda Civic 4 door sedan from a very sweet retired couple that had it as a 2nd car ... only 53,000 Miles (85,000 KM). Purchased it for $2500 Canadian, which is about the same in U.S dollars. I'm not sure about the resell values in the States but here in Canada (Montreal), it's a pretty decent deal for such low mileage! Ohya, it came with 4 winter tires too.

They initially leased the car in 2000, got it serviced at the dealer for the 1st 4 years, and then bought the car at end of lease and have serviced it at a local shop ever since. Unfortunately they don't have receipts for the local shop but I saw the "change oil" sticker with the dates so I know it's legitimate as mileage on it matched etc.. I asked them if the belts were changed he said " i don't know , maybe? " . Very nice Jewish man who quite frankly doesn't know much about cars, lol

So assuming they did not repair anything major, what repairs will I have to get it done? Timing belt and water pump at 60,000 Miles (100,000 KM) ? What expenses am I looking at what mileage?

The car is in great condition, has a little bit of rust showing (normal with our winters).

your expert advise is greatly appreciated!
