Just bought a 35mm OLYMPUS OM-1 , and I Have no idea how to use it?

I just bought the olympus om1 for $110 off ebay.
Im just getting into photography and want to learn the basics.
But i dont really know how to use it,I dont really understand what all the nos and switches are for , or what there called for that matter.
Ive read the manual , but i find it confusing ,seing as it uses terms which i dont know the meaings of?
Can anyone tell me the important aspects of how to use it?
In particular
- How to load the film
-How to get shallow and great depth of field
