This guy is accused of raping this child but I know he's innocent.

There are at least a few others on the jury who want to find him guilty.
but I know they're wrong. I looked over the evidence. There just isn't enough evidence to prove him guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

So we're arguing and we just can't agree.

I think the rest of the jury is inclined to vote him guilty.....but they're wrong! he's not guilty. omg.

Should I stick with my vote for not guilty even if it means having a hung jury?

What happens with a hung jury; they have to spend more money for a re-trial. That sounds like a waste. We just did a trial. and I Wonder, if they have a new trial, are they gonna vote him guilty just like the first trial seems to do? or maybe the new jury will actually be sensible enough to tell right from wrong.

If you don't see enough evidence to go with a guilty verdict, you are legally obligated to go with not guilty. What the other people say isn't your issue. Put it this way, if I hand you a gun and tell you to point it at a store clerk and demand money, and then you go and do it....you're going to jail. 'Someone told me to do it' is not a defense, legally or ethically.

Stick by your guns like I did on a drug case. Justice trrumps everything else. Sometimes jurors want a fast verdict so that they can go home early. That's an abuse of justice.

If he is really guilty and you think he is innocent and he is not... I swear, I hope something happens to you. Child molestors make me f'ing sick.. I hope if he did do it, he gets gang raped in jail every single day...

But anyways.. You don't "know" that it did not happen. You WAS NOT THERE... You just believe that... All I can say is that I hope to God you are right.
