Judging by my symptoms, could I be anemic?

I am female, 18 years old, 5'2 and 98lbs (not sure if this info is necessary... but just in case it is, I thought I'd put it out there.) I don't necessarily have a 'balanced' diet, I eat when I'm hungry, or when I can. And I don't always pay attention to whether I'm eating a certain amount of one kind of food. But I work, so I often will go long hours without eating.

In the past, and recently, I've been bruising very easily, and a lot. I'll wake up with a new bruise almost everyday, somewhere, and it's usually big and I usually don't have any idea how I got it. I have a lot on my arms and legs, and occasionally one or two on my hips or thighs. I've also been tired recently during the day, despite the fact that my sleep habits have remained the same and I've never been tired like this before. Also, I've been having unusually light periods. I don't take vitamins, and am wondering if I should... also, if I AM anemic, what other symptoms should I look for?

I don't think it's just anemia. Please go see your doc. I don't want to scare you but the bruising is a symptom of leukemia, and fatigue and low appetite are also symptoms of cancer, so go see your doc to rule it out. Don't know where you live but cancer rates are much higher in high industrial (High Tech) areas. They use alot of poisons and carcinogens to make their products.

I had breast cancer for 7 years and went through all kinds of tests. I was always fatigued, weight would fluctuate and I had no appetite most of the time, also my hair fell out alot when I washed it. Never put it together until I hit myself on a box and a lump came up 2 days later. Never knew I had it and never felt it in breast exams.

Go see your doctor and good luck.
