This is to all journalists, reporters, and anyone with any influence in any type of media!
Notice how the stock market plays off of "fears" and "talks" and "speculations?"
Notice even how when the fed chairmen tells lies in optimism that suddenly things rebound in the stock market?
It doesn't take a genius to figure this stuff out!
Notice how when Obama or some other bigwig says one little comment, the stock market reacts either by going up or down?
My point: Put some optimism out there to your readers and viewers! It greatly helps things. I realize your job is to report the news. That can still be done with some optimism. People don't even want to watch the news anymore or read the newspapers because it's all negativity.
If you have to tell a few fibs here and there to inspire some hope, it will do everyone some good, including you!
I know a couple of people who work on wall street, and they always talk about how the media is over half of the problem....and like I said, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see how correct that is! Sure, the falling of the big banks is their own fault, I believe they deserve it, but the continuing ripple effect can be much attributed to the media making things worse. I would bet that if the media did not report on the stock markets for a week or two, things would rebound rediculously quickly.
Insipre some hope, stability, and confidence in people, and things will start to look up. The more power you have to do this, the better off the country will be.
Thank you!
