According to a poll surveyed regarding the most stressful part at the beginning of a semester, 43% of respondents deem that parking is a great source of pressure. Though there are more than 14,000 parking spaces available in my university, all the spaces seem to fill up at exactly the same time, finding on-site parking at the already crowded campus is a reward for commuters who make it to class on time. From the reflection of students, the parking congestion heavily depends on the time of day and the day of the week. Faced with these frustrations, What solutions have the university implemented, or if they haven't acted, why? Have there been increased instances of road/parking lot rage or violence on campus because of it? What measures have students adopted about it? From this report, I want to explore answers of these questions and come up with some methods or tips to ease parking pressure.
I plan to interview the parking officer in my college, the project coordinator for Facilities Planning, Design and Construction, the transportation ticket officer( because many students transfer to take bus or trolley to classes) and 2 students, one drive a car, one take a bus. what questions should I ask them when interviewing them?.
