I'm trying to find out the causes and what i can do about sudden rectal pain while jogging. I guess the best way to describe it is it's a horrible pulling feeling. I don't think its a hernia. From what research I've already done is it seems it comes from the pelvis muscles that connect to that area of the body. Right now I'm training for a half marathon so I have been running a lot further than what i normally do. Its happened in the past and all i did was quit running for a week or two and it wouldn't happen again till 6 months later. Unfortunately the run is in less than two weeks away so i really don't want to quit running all together and just hope it doesn't come back up during the race. It's a kind of pain that gets worse and worse the longer you go till it gets unbearable. I'm sure I've opened to door for smart *** answers but maybe someone out there can help me figure out whats going on and what can help to prevent it.
