Jews, would this be an accurate definition of a covenant?

I have long been under the impression that Jews and Christians share the same understanding of what a covenant, in the ancient Hebrew sense of the word, is. I occurred to me the other day, though, that I've never bothered to find out if this is true or not. Towards the end of rectifying that:

Is a covenant a set of sacred vows including an enumeration of blessings for keeping the vows, and of curses for breaking them, sworn between two or more parties that place those parties in a familial relationship with one another?
Apologies for the typos!

An accurate definition of a covenant is an unbreakable vow between two mutual parties. The Jews and Christians differ at the word "unbreakable."
