Well apparently i'm being told that Jewish is not an ethnic group which is rather confusing to me as my dads family comes from Romania in Bucharest, but yet Romanians kicked out many Jews or stripped their land claiming they are not citizens of the land despite living there before Romania even became a country. We claim Jewish background as our last name is Jewish (Cohen) yet we're told we aren't "Jewish" and people supposedly "change names" despite our family is of Sephardic background, so in that case, an Arab will say "your a Romanian", a Romanian will say "Your a Jew" but then the Jews will say "we're a nation". It's rather confusing, apparently people are making up our history for us and telling us where we come from, so then what do you consider us if we aren't a ethnic group?
