How do the Jews justify removing between 700,000-900,000 (figures from 'End of Empire', Robert Fisks 'Pity the Nation' and 'The Great War for Civilisation') Palestinians from their homes(through terrorist groups like the Stern gang) in which they had lived for generations, where they had built livelyhoods and families?
Is their only claim that their 'God' left this land to the supposed 'chosen people'? That they are the supposed decendents of people who used to live their thousands of years ago? Pretty poor excuses in my opinion and I am sure the Palestinians also view these as poor excuses. They certainly do not excuse killing thousands of innocent men, women and children because you want their land.
And Israel has the nerve to proclaim they want peace! If they were committed to peace they would remove these 'settlements' which are nothing more then blatant imperialism which are condemned by the UN and they would stop purposely starving and killing innocent Palestinian refugees
"the idea that we can dismantle Israel is just as nonsensical." Israel should at least acknowledge that they were wrong to take the land and wrong to kill so many to do so. The settlemets should be removed and the creation of a Palestinan state and all that goes with it (Housing, food and water) should be Israels responsibility. Instead the Palestinians are the new refugees and Israel is playing the Nazis.
The UN mandate you speak of, a LOT of bribes were given out to secure the votes from countries that had no concerns about the Palestinians. The US veto is all that is stopping the UN openly condemning all Israels actions.
"Palestinians wish to kill innocent Israeli civilians for political reasons." It is terrible, but if you look at what they are going through and what has happened to them in the past it is not surprising. If I experienced my home being Bulldozed to make way for an Israeli settlement I can not say my actions would be so different from Hizbollahs. Look at people like John Brown and Malcom X, they proclaimed violence as a way of bringing change. And I hope neither you or anyone in todays society would claim their cause was not just. However, violence is not and never has been the answer. A Martin Luther King type figure is needed in this conflict and must use peaceful means to bring the worlds attention to the attrocities committed by Israel.
I really hate making large bodies of text, but your answer was really terrible.
"In the first place, Israel did not eject the Palestinians in 1948 as a matter of fact, they begged them to stay." Check out the Stern gang, they went aroung killing Palestinians who wouldn't go. The Palestinians left in fear for their lives with the full intention of returning within a week. They packed their possesions (including the deeds to their homes) locked their front doors and fled.
"In 1967 the Arabs attacked Israel again!" Of course they did, they are living in poverty because their land was stolen, who wouldn't react the same way??
"Oh, and for your information the Jews have lived in Palestine since 3300 BC. That is almost six thousand years. " Prior to 1948 90% of the population of what we now call Israel were Arab.
So, you failed to address whether the Jewish claim to Palestine was legitimate (their God supposefly said so) and displayed your own terrible ignorance in the process.
