Ok so I have to do a debate and prove that Jesus Christ was actually a liar and was not the son of God. If anyone has any good points on how to prove this could you please share. I'm going with the angle that he was manipulative and made others believe he was loving.
As a side note I go to a Catholic school and I do not believe in this however I was assigned this debate therefore I do not appreciate bashing because it was not my decision.
The three sides to the debate are Lord Liar and Lunatic.
If you have nothing helpful to say please do not post anything thank you!

I think it is reckless, even dangerous, and certainly hostile and provocative to pose such a question. If a teacher put you up to it or posed it, then that teacher is out of line, in my opinion.

That said, clearly no one can know what Jesus actually said - none of us was there and they didn't videotape it. We only know what our great grandfathers told our great grandfathers and so on until someone wrote it all down as best they remembered it from what their great grandfather told them, then we translated it into other languages no doubt with all kinds of people putting their religious spin on it when they could. It's an impossible question to ever answer but sure is hostile to ask. Not by you, necessarily, but by whoever thought it up.

How about "we can't believe everyone going around saying that are the son of God". You would get placed in an insane asylum nowadays. Back then it was more acceptable. So, play on the fact that people were not as intelligent back then and got duped.

*There is a reason why poor, non-developed societies are highly superstitious and religious.

It would be a lot easier to prove that Paul was a liar. Most of what we know about Jesus is a fiction made up by Paul.

Sorry can't really help you on the debate thing because the premise is faulty.

Love and blessings Don
