One of the big disaster films of the 70es. The movie is quite good and entertaining, and I think Jennifer Jones is absolutely amazing to watch. She lights up the picture every time she appears on screen.
It's perhaps the most important female part in the movie, even if she is credited after both Faye Dunaway and Susan Blakely.
It's a very warm and caring character, and she plays it so well. Her scenes with Fred Astaire are very well done, by both of them.
She would have deserved to be at least nominated for an SAA, but...
Turned out to be her last movie, which was kind of sad, but at least she made it a memorable one
