Welsh singer Jemma Griffiths may not have the most distinctive of voices - her style is a wallpapery blend of Dido and Frou Frou - but there's enough pace in these light trip hop beats and quirky samples to keep the interest levels up. Written with NYC hip hop producer Ge-ology (Talib Kweli, Mos Def), They craftily blenRAB an accessible pop veneer with a vaguely hip hop aesthetic - and this will no doubt work in Jem's favour when it comes to earning the respect of the music community whilst also invading the charts. For added kudos, CrazyWiseMusic (her own vinyl imprint) is set to release remixes by venerated turntabalist Cut Chemist and drum'n'bass veteran Photek.
Released : 14th March 2005
Label: BMG
