Jehovah's witnesses: please answer....about sports?

Well its not wrong considering all people are allowed to like sports, even Jw boys, however They wouldn't get in trouble but the whole football scheduale them having to play at night for the games would interfere and clash with their meeting in the kingdom hall and studying for the meeting. so that wouldn't be good and the elders would talk to them about it, they wouldn't get in trouble only they would want to make sure they aren't doing bad spiritually and that they are still putting Jehova in first place which they couldn't do considering they would have no time for religious things so that would be a bit of a problem unless the boy was superman and could be at 2 places at the same time.Or run there that fast ya know...hope I helped lol, Also they would be arounf people who didn't share the same beliefs as much and that wouldnt be so good eathier , i think that the boy would loose his love for Jehova and the congregation faster that way because he would have no time considering he would have to go to the games and practice and all.

The answer is that it is discouraged because of the bad attitudes that come with being in a school sport. If he got in trouble with his parents, then that is for them to deal with. But, as i said before in your other question, he will not be thrown out of the christian congregation. The Brothers with more experience in this area might come and talk to him to warn him of the dangers involved and to see what Bible principles apply. But he would not get in trouble with the congregation.
