No, KBB.com puts the value of that vehicle at 8,450.
When ever you buy a car you can check kelly blue book and edmunds for suggested price.
I also cross reference autotrader, craigslist(all surrounding areas), local classifieds, and ebay to get the most accurate market assessment. My buddies at work will actually write scripts to comb autotrader for all like assessed vehicles and perform a statistical assesment of the market for particular vehicles.
Short answer how ever is no 9995 is not a good price.
On KBB.com you can select value assessments based on retail(dealers), private party, and trade-in criteria. Usually a good price from a dealer is the price between trade in value and private party value.
Unless you have uncanny faith or trust in the dealer there is no reason to ever pay more than private party value.
Get your own financing, however you can get financed before you go to the dealer and only speak with the dealer in terms of cash amount payed.
In your case under 9000 will probably be a good deal for you.
Beat the dealer to his little tricks.....you say "MY offer is only good today", "I have to check with my spouse to see if he/she will agree to this offer(i just made)" "I have to be able to feed my children man", i got to be able to put food on the table" Beat the dealer to all those little phrases, there is no reason you should pay what they want for it and not fair market VALUE.
Good luck!
