Jeep Wrangler Manual Transmission Cost?

Hey guys,
I own a 1997 Jeep Wrangler with a five speed manual transmission. A friend of mine who works a little on cars said that my transmission is looking pretty worn ( it is almost 13 years old after all). My question is, if I need to repair or completely replace my trans, about how much is that going to cost?

IDK on it looks worn the only way to know is to open it up. i would not think about it until it happens but i would say in the 1200 to 2200 range
