Jeep Wrangler check gauges light won't go off?

I have a 2000 Jeep Wrangler and I didn't have heat and the check gauges light was on. I replaced the thermostat and the light is still on and the oil level is at zero at idle. When I start to go, the light goes off. I keep checking the oil and it's full. What now?
