Jeep Wrangler as a first car?

Alright, well I think I'm going to get a Jeep Wrangler as my first car, can anyone give some first hand experience on Wranglers? Also, how long do they tend to last, and just how you like the car in general. Would you recommend them as a first car? Thanks in advance.
 
I have to agree with the unsafe and poor stability. If you get rear ended in one and it is the slight bit off center, it can flip you.
