i have a jeep wrangler with 202000 miles on it. it has had this knock for a little while now. just the other day the check engine light came on. i took it to a local parts store connected it to there computer and it read that fuel injector #6 was going bad. when you disconnect the plug for #6 cylinder the knock goes away. as the rpm increase the noise does not get louder but it does get faster. i have talked to several guys why have said everything from piston slap to bad bearings, the oil pressure is very high and it runs great. i don't know if the engine has recently been rebuilt and it does not use a lot of oil. if you could shed some light on this that would be great.

Sounds like a wrist pin knocking. The 258cid 6 cyl is an incredible engine, but they get tired like everything else. 202K miles is definitely getting your money worth. Since you've got good oil pressure, there's likely nothing major wrong, I'd pull the engine and go through it (rings, bearings, valve job) and run it for another couple of hundred thousand miles.
