I'm searching for a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, 4.0L, 4x4 automatic transmission manual to download. It doesn't shift out of second until I rev the engine to 4500 rpm and let off the gas. Internet chats say it's common, maybe servos and or governors.
Dealer wants $ 3,000.00! for a new tyranny - Rip Off!
I'm looking for a Service Manual to decide if I just drop the pan and replace the servo/governors or just buy a rebuild.
So far, rebuilds range from $1200.00 - $ 1500.00.
Rebuild kits are about $200.00.
