I don't offroad.... Like at all.
So would a Jeep suit me? Cuz I mean, theyre not made for JUST offroading! I'm sure the manufacturers want normal people to drive them too right?

So good buy? Or no.

Remember. I don't offroad.
 
Yes, the Jeep makes a good regular use SUV.
But to tell you the truth, the Subaru is better for daily use and can handle snow just as well (all time four wheel drive is standard).
I own a four wheel drive, right now it is a Honda Passport. I keep one because although I do not go off road there are times I have to get some where. Maybe it is a sick person who is shut in, or maybe to take some one to the Hospital. When I need such a car, there maybe trees down or snow drifts. So I want the added ground clearance that is provided. Until the latest Subaru models were released the Subaru just did not have such ground clearance.
So while the Jeep is good for "normal" people, the Subaru is better for most.
FYI - The wife says Jeeps are not for normies, it takes someone special to drive a Jeep.
 
What type of Jeep are you looking at?
Jeep makes many different types of vehicles, some are not for off roading.
If you are talking about a Wrangler, they are fun to drive and convertible which makes them nice vehicles. You do not have to off road to own one, but they get terrible gas mileage and are not a very comfortable ride!
 
Deffinatly a good buy they're alot more than just an offroad vehicle. It's dual purpose so if you needed to go offroad it can but thats just one of its many great qualities. They ride smooth, good gas mileage, and good looking. Great for summers cause if you get a soft top you can let it down and the breeze is great. All around a great vehicle. I have jeep wrangler and ive had it for 13 yrs and its still going without hardly any repairs i just had to replace the altinator and i go several places with it i just took a 7 hr trip to mississippi and it did just fine no problems at all. anyways hope i helped.
