Today, a friend locked his keys in his car, a 1993 Jeep Cherokee, he heard that Honda Accords from the 90s keys were interchangeable between vehicles. I drive a 93 Jeep Grand Cherokee, so we tried my keys to open the locked doors on his car. Surprisingly this worked. Is this a known issue, being able to use someone else's keys to open a locked car? or was this a 1-in-a-million odds on having the same keys on different models?
