I've been reading up on articles about the Growlers, how the military combined contracts for LSV's and RST with a new contract for a new ITV to fit the V-22. The final contract won was for the Growler, a WWII style jeep thats revamped and cost between $100,000-140,000. 15 will go to each marine brigade. Those who've seen and used them, are they really worth it?
Same can be asked about the V-22, It looks cool, but doesn't seem as great as it could be. I mean it was like they had the idea to design this new helo, but didn't think about the equipment it would take. 5 ft high and wide cargo bay door, umm most military equipment is big and bulky,duh. How good are these in actual use?
