jeep grand cherokees?

im getting a jeep grand cherokee. are they good on gas? do they drive good? i like them but what yall think?
 
Good safe SUV my 2 bestfriends and I drove through a blizzard in one it was a rental a 2004 limited with a V8 and we drove through 6 solid inches of snow and ice in Pennsylvania @ about 60 mph on the interstate we had it in Full-time 4WD and we passed so many other vehicles in ditches and pulled over and stuck in the middle of the interstate we stopped at a rest area and it was not plowed at all and there was over 10 inches of snow and we pulled in and stopped and got right back in and kept on for about another hour and a half ! my best friend bought one right after!
 
first of all what year is it? and i love grand cherokees they look sick espacially in black and black rims.. and yeah they waste gas..
 
all depends on what year and engine i got a 04 4.7 v8 and i love it today i filled up for 37.00 and i was almost empty gas was 2.29. i can get about 14-16mpg city and my i can get 20mpg highway @ 70mph. my dad also has a 04 same engine and everything and thats his mpg. my mom has a 6cylinder and she can get about 14-17mpg city and around 24mpg highway. they drive great and look great too. my v8 packs a punch. test drive a 6 and a 8 and you will like the 8 so much better allthough the 4.0 6 cylinder is famous for lasting 150-300,000miles our 95 GC had the 4.0 and we sold it with 190,000miles no major problems. we had a 01 GC and we sold it at 130,000miles no major problems no matter what you get you will be happy. i trust the 04 and older ones more than the 05 and newer ones but thats just me
