ok, so i had to have the transmission rebuilt in my jeep 4.0l 42re transmission manufatured afte may 3rd- everything worked fine, witht the exception of some shifting- it slipped and lagged, but now i have new problems. The new transmission will not shift into overdrive, it gets right up the the point of shifting into O/D and then the tranny and speedometer cut out--- my logic is that if the computer controls both o/d and the speedometer, then could the computer be faulty in which causes these problems?
Jeep Grand cherokee zj, 1995- does the computer control the speedometer?
