I bought a 5 pin plug heated Jeep Grand Cherokee drivers mirror for a 2000 Jeep. The glass on the mirror I had before was burnt at the bottom. The previous mirror I could make the glass go up and down, left and right using the controls inside my car. The mirror I have now will only go up and down and side to side is manual. I see there are 3 pin plug mirrors and 5 pin plug mirrors. What is the difference? Why isn't the mirror fully a power mirror like before?
Thanks for the response, but my car has the automated setting. The mirror I had before worked perfectly fine, this one only will go up and down with the buttons from inside the car. Is there a difference between the 5 pin and 3 pin. I've seen those types at the auto parts stores I've looked at.

Some jeeps have auto mirrors that tilt down in reverse and automatically adjust to driver presets. There is a module that controls that. Some jeeps just have power mirrors. That only move when you use the switch. So each are wired differently.
