I was driving on the interstate, looked in the rear view and noticed smoke. Oil pressure and engine temp are normal. I pulled over and opened the hood. little smoke escaped but stopped. Got under it and noticed some tranny fluid on the cross member, pan, and firewall. After sitting for almost an hour, i checked the fluid levels all of which are good, so i drove the few miles home.
There is no leak, rides, runs and shifts as it always had. Drove upstate (2 hours each way) and back yesterday, very cautiously and constant checking of fluid levels, all good.
What would cause the smoke/small outburst of tranny fluid. Only thing i can think is that some spewed out the tranny breather tube, but im not sure. Fluid looked clean and red.
