2000 Jeep Cherokee Classic squeals for about 30seconds to a minute, then goes away when I first start it up. It only happens on days when it has been sitting in the hot sun. It is also much worse in reverse. I was thinking the engine belt needed to be replaced or maybe tightened. Anyways, if anybody has any ideas, please tell them to me.
Can't open hood to look at it, because it only lasts about a minute or less, and doesn't happen every time. Starts about 5 sec after ignition, even when in neutral. worse in reverse. doesn't happen any other time, only when i start it. I have a dealer warranty so i'll see if a replacement belt is covered though.
