I am replacing the tie rods and the drag link ends. one of the ends on the drag link is frozen in place. I have put it in a vice, saturarted and let it sit repeatedly with catalyst penetrating oil, used pipe wrenches. Hammerd on the old ends so the penetrating catalyst will work but NADA.
I am down to using C4. Should I try heating with a torch. Or does anyone have anyother suggestions other than buying a new one. What would a professional do? There is no visible rust but it is definetly rusted somewhere. Thanks. I am not in a salt water area.
I finally freed it wiith two giant pipe wrenches that caused enough movement for the penetrating oil to work..
What I need to know now is I have new tie rod ends. Do they come prepacked with grease or do I need to inject grease?
