jeep cheorkee 2002 laredo oil gauge?

I just noticed everytime i accelerate my gauge on the dash ( oil Gauge ) goes all the way to the H a little bit less than H. And when I stop or slow down it goes back down to a quarter passed the half way mark. Is this normal???? my car has 100,000 miles and I did an oil change 1500 miles ago. Doesnt overheat and that is all
