I have already changed all 6 spark plugs and #1 & #2 coil packs. I still have this same code coming up, yet it has gone out on it's own once and then came back a day later. It's running better since I changed the plugs, but it still misfires when I first start it, but all 6 cylinders do pick up and the engine runs smooth. I have researched it a little, and I'm a little afraid to ask. I'm guessing it would be all exploratory if I wanted to get it fixed that badly. I was told by a former mechanic that if it were him, he would just drive it as long as it sounded ok and the check engine light WAS NOT blinking. That is pretty much my option b/c I can't be tearing apart the engine or replacing a cylinder head...or buy a new car. I'd prefer not to do that yet b/c it is a few months away from being paid off. I'm thinking if I want it fixed, the next step would be a compression test maybe in a month or 2...seems like the least invasive of options. All advice or info would be greatly appreciated. Especially all the options of what could throw that code. Thanks in advance!
