JBBackup behavior

Greetings!
I just endured a slow degradation and crash of my Tungsten C, and am interested in moving up to the Tungsten T5. As of the crash, my apps and data were backed up to my SD card the prior midnight, via JBBackup, which is now, regretfully, unsupported. My concern is that if I move the card to the T5, and somehow locate a copy of JBBackup, and hit "restore", that it might overwrite the operating system as well, sending me back a notch or two OS-wise.

Any advices would be greatly appreciate.
Thanks,
H.

It won't overwrite the OS because the OS in Palms is in ROM, and what got backed up is the files in the RAM of your TC. The only problem I can think of is if you had any OS updates installed in the TC's RAM--if there are any (I have a TE, so I don't know THAT much about the TC), it/they would be installed on the T5 when you restore. Might be harmless, might just cause the wrong OS version number to be displayed, might cause a crash loop. Also, some apps (Docs to Go comes to mind) needed to be updated to work on the T5, so some of your backed-up apps might crash it.
