Jaws 2 ITV1 Saturday 9pm, why oh why?

Why on earth are ITV giving their saturday 9pm slot to an almost 30 year old inferior sequel? The BBC have buried this in late night week nights for years were it belongs.

Does Michael Grade think everyone's on holiday or outside now? He must if he thinks he can roll this out again in primetime.

Out of the 3 sequals to Jaws.Jaws 2 is the best

Jaws 3 is just a pile of S*ite & from what i can remember about Jaws 4 it wasn't that good either.

What would you prefer: Jaws 2 or some mindless reality TV drivel about random humans/animals that think they can dance or sing? Give me Jaws 2 over that shite any day, now as for Jaws 3...

Jaws 3 wasn't supposed to compete with 1 and 2 in plot or anything. They knew that by the third film things have started to run out of steam so they went for the 3D angle. I saw it at the cinema when I was about 12 and the 3D was really good so in that respect the film worked but I can understand how watching it on telly in 2D 20 or so years later it can seem quite naff.

I love this film, it's so funny!

The shark is just comical (and bear in mind I have a shark PHOBIA), I can watch it no problem.
The first Jaws was convincing (I thought), but for heaven's sake this shark benRAB when it bumps into things!

And the third one is even better..that one has a tongue!!

Must chip in and say Jaws 2 is great - can watch it just as many times as the original. The teens in danger ramps up the action, the shark attack scenes are just as effective ie, the water skier, the helicopter (!) etc and it has an even better original score by the great John Williams. One of Jeanot Szwarc's better films (he of Supergirl, Santa Claus Movie cough, fame).

Plus Roy Scheider is as great as ever. Still rather watch a classic film oldie than the crap ITV usually put on Saturday nights.

Jaws (movies) beings heavily advertised on ITV takes me back actually to late 80's/early 90's before all the channels their is now.
It was a big deal when a movie such as this was on TV because with only 4 channels it was rarely shown on the box and people were talking about it at school even though it was over a decade old.Now taking into account sky,it's available just about every month.

Will be funny when they start promoting Jaws 4.One of the worst big movies ever on primetime ITV and it still better then 80% of their usual programming. ;)

Someone mention Jaws 3?? now what a movie! of course - to some, watching it now is like having your testicles removed very slowly with a toothpick - but when i first saw Jaws 3 - i was 5 years old. and saw it on the cinema in 3D!!! it was called Jaws 3D then - and i still have the personalised "Jaws 3D" glassess somewhere - and it was magic to my eyes. I loved it!! but i was only 5. That was the second fim i saw at the pictures. ET was the first!

The big doctor dude from Casulty was in Jaws 3.

I'm actually surprised that ITV didn't incorporate some kind of voting system into the films. Just imagine it, 'Jaws Interactive': "If you would like Karen to get eaten, press 1, if you would like Mike to get eaten press 2"... :p

now Jaws is Classic,Jaws 2 is great,Jaws 3 is crap(but is made slightly better by the 3-D effects on my copy),and Jaws:The Revenge the less said about that pile of steaming doodoo the better.
