Javascript - Ajax.PeriodicalUpdater?

i would like to add effect to the container in which the content is being loaded.

please go to twitterfall.com, choose a trend in the left side of the page aand change the settings in the right hand side of the page.

Jus try changing the effects (FALL, FADE,NONE).

I need to do a similar page of that one for twhanel.com

Can anyone help me in this? this is extremely urgent.
