JAVA SWING !!Help is needed...tool visibility, not frame?

when i am using swing. i can control the visibility of the jframe but i cant control the tools(like-textbox, label, checkbox, radiobuttons etc.)
specially i am using netbeans 5.5.1
please let me know the code or method to control the visibility.
the code should support netbeans 5.5.1

i need it very badly.please..it is my earnest request....
