I am here to ask, what is better...
I mean better in the sense of Reliability, Gas mileage, Warranty, and even performance.

Lets talk about Japan Vs. American based cars.

I went over this before, this is kinda my redo of this debate.
Please say everything you can about this, but be more factual then fiction based bias.

First I am going to state my opinion...

Japan makes by far better sports cars, better commuter cars, better everything, even todays trucks beat GM, Ford, and Dodge. Why...

In general. American cars have triple easily the amount of recalls and problems (they don't recall) with their automotive today. You are taking a far greater chance of a problem buying a American designed and built car from GM then you will with Toyota.

I am not saying that all of their cars will have problems (you always have a person who says they never had a problem with either American or Japanese and others that say they always have a problem with either or).

Feed back please!

I go more for American car companies myself. I used to be into the imports but I think that I was 17 and didn't know better yet.
To be fair I have owned three Volvos (before ford owned them) a 1981 Datsun 280zx, and a 2003 Toyota Camry, and a 2004 Jetta GLS. From my experiance and from others that I know, the Japanese cars were superiour TWENTY PLUS YEARS AGO! Now they are concerned with profits and getting cars out by the truckload just like any other manufacture. My old Camry was a turd and would never buy another...the Datsun was one hell of a built machine. Was very similar to a "Timex".
I prefer to buy older american muscle cars now. Easy to work on, nice to drive something that's not a cookie cutter car.
If you maintain your vehicle they will all last about the same on average.
Another reason I stay away from Japanese is all the little gadgets and other unnecessary crap that costs out the ass when it breaks. Which it will break.
Plus, far as Im concerned if you are smart don't live an hour away from work. I live a mile from work and 20 bucks last about a month in a 6.6 liter V8.

I do not know where you are getting the figure that Japanese full size trucks beat American full size. Maybe amongst those who buy a truck for play only?
