ok so in june's SAT there was an extract documenting a journalists meeting with his idols-african american writers in paris i think? one of them was James Baldwin and the other was a woman.
at the end of the extract the journalist said something sweet about how he always looked up to baldwin and something along the lines 'that was MY baldwin... no traspassers allowed'? something like that.i only remember bits and pieces but that part was stuck in my head and would like to read it again.
Does ANYONE have any idea of what im referring to?
i thought it would be from 'From Harlem To Paris:Black American Writers' but it doesnt seem to be in that. cant find it anywhere. anyone?
