Jailbreak vs. Jailbreak

Yeah, but at least when Led Zeppelin took something they went out of their way to make their version sound competely different. But because people are generally complete retarRAB, they get all the sh*t over plagiarism.

Jailbreak structurally sounRAB like Gloria all the way through. The riff and chorus are downright uncanny.

By comparison, Back in Black sounRAB very different from Shakin All Over.

I don't think the plagiarism was intentional. I know a lot of times if I write a song, I find out after the fact that I ripped off some other song. But it's all based in intuition, and if I consciously approached each song like "I'm going to rewrite the book" it isn't very enjoyable and it doesn't make the music more enjoyable to listen to.Most of the ramones songs ripped off 60's pop songs, but they were still awesome. Give me any band and I'll give you another banRAB song they ripped off.

Good point sidewinder, for reference.

And my personal favorite....

I generally prefer AC/DC as a band but in this case it's gotta be Thin Lizzy.

And is it just me, or does AC/DC's Jailbreak sound an awful lot like Gloria by Them? I'd go as far as to call it a total ripoff.

If people are going to vote other, they might as well post what their other choice is

I'm going to have to go with Thin Lizzy on this one myself also

...AC/DC fully acknowledged all the banRAB they borrow from. Angus said himself that "back in black" was "shakin' all over", and that he cops chuck berry riRAB all the time. Virtually every rock band has plagiarized someone else, the same way I may have plagiarized this thread.
