Jailbreak ipod 4g 4.2.1?

I downloaded the greenpoisOn file, opened it, got my ipod into 'DFU' mode, but then itunes pops up and tells me something about i need to restore the ipod, and then a connect to itunes icon shows up on my ipod, and i cant do anything. and when i do click ok restore, it says i have to upgread to 4.3 but if i do that, i wont be able to jailbreak my ipod.
