Jackson producing Halo Film !!!!!

I just read on Bungie's website that the film version of Halo, the X-Box game, is gonna be produced by Peter Jackson, he of the "minor" :rolleyes: LOTR trilogy.

Oh man, is THIS gonna rock or what ? :D

Comments anyone ?
 
From what I've read Microsoft are keen to keep tight control on the movie, handpicking all the major cogs, so on the upside I doubt it'll be as bad as Doom...
 
Executive producing, not directing... being one of the money-men, essentially.

And keeping an eye over things, possibly influencing the eventual choice of director, DP and casting.
