Jack Nicholson

Watched 'The Pledge' recently and liked it very much despite such a loose script. I found him fascinatingly different from his normal roles but oh that ending - how bewildering was that?

The police investigation was pants and I was disappointed that although we only caught a very short glimpse of the killer, his death went so un-noticed. Anyone like it? Will it be classed as a good Nicholson film?

I watched The Pledge on DVD a few weeks ago. I thought it was great certainly one of Jack's best performances.

I loved the film too. It was nice to see Jack in a significantly different role. I didn't like the script too much though, how could it have been said that his character had become' a drunk and a clown'? The scene where the suspect with the low IQ was being questioned was abominable and do we know that 'Jack' was so besotted with the case that he did actually set-up the little girl?
