******J&M Amp Install Just Completed on Al's 2009 Street Glide...Pics Here******

If you look at the side of the amp where the speaker outputs are, you will see the words "bridge." One speaker wire ran to one side (+) and one wire ran to the other side (-). Then I would assume it would have to be split to go to two speakers. I was just wondering if you are running it bridged or just regular two channel.

I'm tempted to pull the trigger on the speakers. I'm assuming these amps (J&M VS. ARC) are basically the same. I'm thinking it's these Alpine speakers I have that are the problem.

Do the speakers come with the adapters?

The speakers come with all you need. The amp comes with a plug and play harness as well making the install easy as pie. We are running ours as 2 channel amps on both bikes. The main advantage of the J&M is the fact that it comes with the mounting brackets, wiring harness and is already preconfigured to sound great with their speakers. There is no tweaking necessary. Plug and play baby, plug and play. Take a trip up to the shop and listen to Shawn and Al's bikes and you will know what I am talking about. The sound is extremely impressive. Maybe they'll even let you take one of their bikes for a spin to test it out before purchasing.

The plug and play means nothing to me as I have an '09 EGS which came with no radio, reason why I have the Alpine. I don't need the amp as I have the ARC version of it. I would love to know what the differences are, but it seems no one really knows. Do you? I do see that J&M is calling their amp 250W. I would assume that is because it can be bridged making the two channel 125W to a single 250W. Am I right? Since you guys are running it as a two channel, I guess it doesn't matter.

I might take a ride out there just to compare the sound with my bike and the bikes you have there. Maybe I'm just expecting too much since I've had audio systems in all my vehicles in the past. For the life of me, I can't understand why I need to turn the radio to about 3/4 volume to get good sound. I would have thought with adding an amp, I wouldn't have to go past half way. In that video you posted, where was the volume at on the radio? 3/4??? 1/2???

One more thing, I see in the pics there are four speaker wires per speaker. What is the reason for that? Separate tweeters?

Anyways, do you have them in stock and will they fit in the bags?

Have to agree with Drew. I bought my speakers and amp from them and the installation went pretty smooth.

My highest speed so far has been 90MPH and had to lower the sound...it is very loud but clear. To me it has been one of the best upgrades done so far.

Only difference in my installation was that I didn't use the foam that comes with the speakers. I went and bought some Dynamat pads and used those instead.

Type of music I listed?...Rock, Salsa, classic, news, you name it!
