Correct! The XM antenna is inside the fairing and removing the exterior antenna at the rear of the bike will ONLY affect AM/FM/WB frequencies. XM reception will NOT be affected.

Well installed the speakers still waiting for the idiots at UPS to deliver my amp, although the install was easy i ended up putting the lower screw a little to tight on one side and you guessed it i made a small bump on the inner fairing, anyone have an idea on what can be done to hide it, thank god it was on the lower screw so its not super noticeable but it kinda of bothers me, the other side came out perfect, the speakers sound ok, the mids but the highs are horrible, I am hoping the amp will help, so far I am a little dissappoitbed. If anyone has any ideas on how i can hide it please let me know.
 
Completed the install on my 2009 Street Glide last night. Sound is awesome! I would recommend the J&M amp and speakers to anyone.
Notes on install:
1. Take the gas tank off and run the amp wire to battery under the gas tank.
2. I used the tank strap for the negative ground.
3. Use ball-end Allen wrenches to install amp bracket to stock radio. This will save you TIME and FRUSTRATION.
4. Be patient when putting the outer fairing back on. With the foam, it's a little snug. I stripped the insert on the upper fairing...arrrggggh. Anyone know where I can get another one?

We far prefer the J&M's over the Hogtunes. Shawn and Al both had the Hogtunes setup before switching to the J&M's. The difference is impressive. Well worth the extra dough. Drew
