I thought a few pages back there was talk of a package deal for 7.25 front and "regular" rear speakers. Can you save me some searching? Picked up my FLTK yesterday, speakers are the very first mod.

The Jm 7.25 Speakers include foam sound pads that are installed in the fairing for even better acoustics..and they do greatly improve the clairity and efficiency over stock speakers..( My 06 Street Glide showed great improvement.) I am also going to try out add the Arc Audio 125.2 mini amp in my fairing ( Plug and Play does not affect any audio hand control function) and I will see if adding about 70 watts of clean power to each of these massive 7.25 speakers will even further enhance this already improved system (JM Corp. rates the speakers at 140 watt ea) I am hoping that more power will be good for tighter bass response! Rear 5.25 with three way speakers are already on the market and also great improvement.

Way back in this thread somewhere (or possibly a different thread)) I spoke about how we have tested the new 7.25s with the Arc Audio Mini amp, running at max volume before distortion for a total of 60+ hours ,,,,,, with no failures of any kind either with the amp or the speakers during the test ,,,

at the conclusion, the speakers still performed like new and so did the amp ,,,,, the Arc mini amp is rated at 125 watts RMS into a 2 ohm load ,,,,

Biketronics also offers very good amps ,,,, and we are testing their small one now ,,,,

but at some point as these amps get more and more powerful, J&M will have to design an alternate 7.25" speaker to handle very high power levels ,,,,

no doubt the J&M 7.25s and the new rear 5.25s are THE BEST performing speakers for the stock Harley audio system period ,,,, they are also THE BEST performing speakers for your Harley even if you add an amp ,,,,, that simple ,,,,

but I would not use an amp rated at more than 125 watts RMS per channel with them ,,,, now before you go comparison shopping for an amp all over the internet,,,,,,, check the RMS (((not max)) power ratings of each amplifier into a 2 ohm load (((not 4 ohm)) ,,, that way you will be comparing apples to apples ,,,,,

I recently put HogTunes speakers and amp in my 09 StreetGlide. I installed baffles behind them and they sound great. I can now here my stereo at highway speeds.

imsteelerman ,,,,,

I recently took my 2010 Harley Ultra Limited down the highway with the J&M 7.25s in the front and our 5.25s in the rear ,,,, WITHOUT an amp (stock Harley radio) and enjoyed my music as fast as the darned bike would go ,,,,, for quite a few miles ,,,,

had my radar detector going also )))))))
