I've put on the No-Disk Patch for the Sims 3, get on the game but after

loading it says that theres no disk? HI,
Please help.. my mum mananged to take my laptop (with the Sims 3 in it) and lost the game on holiday. I really need to play and installed the TS3 patch. Ive done everything and when I click on the desktop shortcut.. the game starts, loads but on the main menu where you choose the saved games it asks me to insert the disk.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
