I'm 25 weeks 3 days pregnant with my first and I realized last night that up to this point I haven't had a single urine test or even a urine specimen taken since my initial pregnancy test, which was done in the connecting clinic and not the OB office.
I didn't think anything of it until now.. when people are mentioning to me that is not normal... Is there any reason they would not do a urine test at every appointment?? Anyone heard of a doctor that does them only when there is a worry?
It's gotten me really paranoid into thinking something is wrong, especially because I have had elevated blood pressure my last 2 appointments (I've only had 3 appointments so far). My blood pressure is never really high, but before I was pregnant I had a baseline BP that ran low, about 110/70 and now it has been 125-130/85-90.
I have military insurance, which means it's a big pain for me to try to switch doctors. Since I am an active duty spouse they won't let me just switch without getting a referral for care. I'd really like to get a referral to see a civilian doctor since this has me so worried.
