laws apply.? i recently started as an apprentice mechanic, so i can carry on with my course at college and hopefully become fully qualified. i work from around 8 til around 5.30, about nine hours. i do 6 days a week with 3 hours on saturday. it works out to around 48 hours give and take. i got told id be on "apprentices wage" of £80 a week for the first month and £95 a week there after. this works out as around not even £2 a hour. im 16. is this expected for starting out as an apprentice? i dont mind as i enjoy what im doing so far. and obv doing it to learn. any help would be great
