Charles T., Sir;
Brake dust occurs with normal braking. You can not stop it, no matter what you do. The process happens every time you brake, because when you brake, the pads are pressed against the rotor which rubs the padding surface down to the point where the metal disk is rubbing the metal brake indicator; which lets you know that it is time to change the brake pads or shoes again. To minimize the dust, install dust covers. Once you hear metal to metal contact, it's time for new brakes again.
