And i wouldnt know what to do without playing so im trying to keep that option out.

Sorry for the long post...
Im going to describe the situation a little so you understand.

Im 14 years old/5 feet 11 inches... could be the best in my grade at soccer.

Last year I chipped off a good amount of bone from my tibia (right below the knee), from playing too much. Doctor told me to "keep off of my feet for about a month or 2 and everything will be great!" Well thats what i did and it felt better... until now. It came back right before soccer starts.

So Im a sophomore this year trying out for the same school I played for last year. For practice, we ran 2 tours (1.5mi) then a 6lap... another tour, scrimmaged, shooting drills, scrimmage, hills. I had to sit out after the shooting drills because my tibia was killing me. Now im almost positive ill make the team because 1. Theres not that many people trying out, so everyone should make it. 2. i can beat mostly anyone on the team in 1v1 situations.

But my knee is getting worse and this is hell weak (3hour practice everyday during the hottest part of the day) so i dont want to sit out the whole thing and look like a pussy. But ice for 15 then heat for 15 isnt doing it.

My question(s): 1. Do they have surgery for this type of thing? 2. Has anyone else had problems with the tibia before? Howd you fix it?
